Stone and Hardscaping

I love the Wisconsin outdoors. The natural elements of this landscape inspire me and influence my aesthetic. I started hardscaping over 15 years ago. When working stone and designing a project I strive to bring out the natural beauty of the material in a way that is balanced and fits the style of the home or business.

Neat and manicured has its place, but I think the most beautiful walls and walkways are those that are in harmony with the landscape. We  will create a hardscape design that flows through your property naturally and beautifully.  One that will fit its purpose and reflect your personality.

My aim is more than to create a space that is functional -- it is to create an outdoor space you will love to use and love to share.

How I work

The first thing I do is try to get a feel for the personality of the property owner. I will show them pictures, discuss elements, and see what catches their eye.

When developing the design  I consider the scale of the property and look for a focus feature. This is something that can draw the eye, center the design, or set a theme. I work hard to make all the handscaping elements work together. Retaining walls, walkways and staircases should look natural together and also with patios, the yard and garden, and the buildings.

I take pride in creating spaces that are built to last for many years and are properly prepared to prevent shifting and cracking. After the hardscaping is built, we soften and complete the design with plants and flowers.
